ACTIVITIES

ASPHI works through these activities:

  • Research and innovation:
    finalised towards a constant monitoring of possibilities offered by new technonologies to people with disabilities.

  • Professional Training:
    The association has started its activity producing training courses for blind people. Today we can use new instruments such as online-training.

  • Consulting service towards employment:
    in favour of both employers and disabled unemployed persons, to transform the hiring from 'law obligation' to a legitimate resource.

  • Training directed at teachers, professors, educators rehabilitation personnel:
    an important condition that must be met so that activities and methodologies towards integration can expand over the national territory.

  • Program development of rehabilitation and teaching software:
    in cooperation with its partners, ASPHI coordinates research activities on the field for the realization of products that are really towards integration of people with disabilities.

  • Consultancy service for children and adults :
    starting with the idea that there is not a single solution for all but that every proposal must take into consideration the actual day-to-day situation of the person, its possibilities and needs.

  • Screening e rehabilitation:
    In this field, advanced technology together with the possibility of communicating at a distance, favour better usage of professional talent available.

  • Speeches at conventions:
    with the objective of constantly bear witness about the potential offered by new technologies towards integration of disabled people.
    Information and demonstrations to enable all people that are interested to know and hear about new available opportunities.

 


PROJECTS AND AREAS OF INTERVENTION

ASPHI is active towards specific Projects applying Information e Communication Technology (ICT) to the world of people with disabilities with the objective of reducing their handicapped status.
The projects can be regrouped in four main intervention areas:

  • The world of School integration: activities based on the national territory, training of teachers and development of relative software.
  • The Rehabilitation: for a better quality of life and more independence.
  • The Information: towards people that are directly interested as well as anyone else about opportunities offered by technologies ICT.
